“I woke up to the news that David Himelfarb, a long-time dear friend and one of the founders of The Village Shul of Toronto, has died. Yakov and I have countless memories of his loving warmth, infectious smile, idealism, and good heart. When expressing love, he wasn’t afraid to do it with tear-filled eyes. We turned to him many times for help with legal matters in the entertainment field. He never said he was too busy to lend his expertise. The Shul he helped create has impacted thousands.
